Wastop’s unique patented construction stops backflow in drains providing flood protection, preventing sewage odour spread and infiltration by insects, small animals, flotsam & gases. The valve is made from a stainless steel grade 304 or 316 incorporating a cone shaped chloroprene membrane which allows flow in the normal direction and when backflow occurs fills out and seals the pipe, blocking all further backflow. This prevents flooding, odour escaping and infiltration in sewer pipes, tidal outfalls and other pipeline networks. wastop can be fitted horizontally or vertically, on an inlet or outlet, in a chamber or utilizing flanges and installation is a breeze. The secret is the specialized memory membrane which is inserted inside either stainless steel or pvc pipes depending on the application and gives exceptional shape retention and chemical resistance.
